Our Growers

The core of our business is quality fresh produce and we pride ourselves on good relationships, with many local growers.

We try to pay a fair price, because we want them to be here in the future.

Michael & Chrissie Bentley who run Castle Fruit Farm at Newent offer a wonderful range of apples, including Ashmead Kernel from 1700 to Crimson Crisp, a new variety. Pears including Doyenne de Comice, the pear growers pear. Plums - about eight varieties, Victorias off course, but many more to keep us in fresh fruit for three months. Their single variety apple and pear juices are excellent product, as well as their newly created plum sauces and chutneys.

Michael Miles from Llangarron, just outside of Monmouth, his range is amazing, runner beans, broad beans, purple sprouting broccoli, asparagus, rhubarb, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants and gooseberries.

Pawel of Pawel Organics grows just outside Monmouth at Mitchel Troy. His range of range of vegetables, include Cauliflower, Romanesque broccoli, calabrese, curly kale, cavalo nero, sprouts and swede and runner beans.

Strawberries (when in season) we collect daily from Siddington Farm near Ledbury, run by Charles Houlbrooke and his family.

There are also Cherries, Wye Valley Asparagus, Tomatoes and Salad from various local sources.

We offer a wide range of imported fruits and vegetables, because the banana plantations and orange groves of West Wales, just can't produce enough.

If we don't have something in stock we'll try and find it for you.

And deliver to your home.
